With FHnotebook you can easily share your research and collaborate on your family history projects. You can find information on how to share different items in the “Organize Your FHnotebook Items” section of the user guide. Here you can learn how to take advantage of the sharing features.
Collaborate on a Family Line
- If you’d like to collaborate on a family line with someone else who uses FHnotebook, create a notebook for that family line and share it with them.
- Both you and the person you share with can add documents and notes to the notebook, and both of you will be able to see all the developments.
- If you need to leave each other messages about your research, you can use the comment feature. To leave a comment, simply type your thoughts in the right-hand panel of the notebook details screen where it says “Additional comments go here.” Then click “Add.” Your comment will be attached to the notebook and your collaborator will be able to see it.
- If you are paying for a subscription to FHnotebook, you can share any notebook with anyone you like. (If you’re using the Forever Free plan you can share with 1 individual.)
Collaborate on Documents and Tasks
When you share documents and tasks, you can take advantage of the same features you get when you share notebooks. Collaborators can all edit a document and add comments.
